Friend's of the Animals of Mykonos would like to see a time when there are no stray animals uncared for living on the streets. We need to neuter / spay and care for the sick/injured. We need to re-house abandoned animals. We need food to feed them during winter... Through education, newsletters and school programs we would like to put an end to dumping puppies / kittens in the garbage bins, abandoning dogs on the streets and stop illegal poisoning. We are hoping to have a shelter, however this could create bigger problems by becoming a dumping ground for unwanted animals so we must be prepared.

We organise fund raising events, such as cake sales and bazaars and now will be recruiting members in Greece and hopefully around the world
The Town Hall of Mykonos is helping to support us in many ways. We thank Mayor Christos Verounis and Nikos Salachas for their time and support. We thank the Mykonos newspapers and the local radio stations for their kind support. We hope they will continue to support this worthy project
