Christmas bazaar 2007

The annual Christmas bazaar will be held on Sunday 9th December in the old port car park as usual from 10am. We are urging everyone to bring their cars down and sell their own stuff as we need everyone's support. For those of you helping us or wanting to donate clothes / household goods /toys please bring them on the day, separated into women's clothes, men's clothes etc and add them to the relevant stalls. If you are away for the bazaar please contact Sharon 6944 777674 to agree to take your donation. Please come and join in this one special day to help raise money for the animals.
Please no food without checking with us first as this is reserved for the volunteers of the Mykonos Animal Welfare. Please call Andrea on 6992 132467 for more information and also to let her know that you will help that day. We are also asking businesses to bring their unsold stock down to sell. The car space / stall space will cost 40 euro, the rest of the money you make is yours to keep or free to donate. Lets make this a great fun day .

Cat Sterilization!

Monique Pettiford ( who kindly translated the German version of our website) and Barbara Mapellimozzi of Switzerland ,visitors to the Mykonos Grand Hotel, were appalled at the situation and the lack of general interest in making this island a better place for the cats and dogs. They have raised more than 5000 euro themselves and arranged with Costas and Christos the vets to sterilize more than 100 cats in November. They will be flying in to help in the operation and we can't thank them enough for they love and support. WELL DONE LADIES , we hope others will follow your positive actions.

Cake sale on Matoyianni Street

On 4th October , world animal day. We held a bake sale, selling home made cakes,pies and marmalades made by local residents and businesses. We thank all of the people who made cakes for us. Joan and Panoyiotis, Magic garden, Avra, Eva's garden, Mykonos Palace Hotel, Sharon from Lalaounis, Dorian Hotel, The ladies from Ano Mera, Riana Tolken,Hazel Fouski and many more. Please forgive us if you name is not mentioned here as we don't always have the cakes named but we really appreciate you work and care for the animals of Mykonos. We raised a fantastic 1600 euro. Thank you to Barbara, Kiki, Sarah, Sharon, Riana, Jo, Andrea , Manos and Antonis for helping that day.
