Yesterday the Town Hall awarded the 30,000.00 Euro contract to our resident vet Nikos Triandafillou. It has taken months of meetings and contacting anyone that was able to help us to finally resolve this situation. There were many times when it looked like we would not be able to secure this contract but with persistence and determination we have succeeded.
Now we need a week or two to finalised the necessary paperwork and to liase with Nikos the vet to find out how we can proceed. As everyone knows Niko is a very busy man so he will be able to help us when and if he has the time.
There are many pregnant cats around that many of you are concerned about that will certainly take priority once we begin. How many we will be able to sterilise each week is a question I will be able to answer after speaking to Nikos and I will let you all know.
In the meantime our difficulties with the dog situation has not changed. We need a few people who are willing to foster a puppy or a dog for an agreed period of time until we house it in Germany or Switzerland. In the last two weeks we have been given around ten puppies so its very difficult for only one or two people from the committee to keep all these animals in their home. We need your help. We provide all the food, bowls, house, etc. Please call me on 6944 777674 if you are interested in fostering.
WHETHER YOU CAN FOSTER FOR A WEEK, A MONTH OR LONGER NO-ONE WILL EVER BE LEFT PERMANENTLY WITH A DOG THEY DO NOT WANT. PLEASE HELP WITH THIS.
We are asking all our members to please renew their memberships as soon as possible because we do have outstanding bills to be paid and would like to clear everything in order to move ahead without that pressure.
We will hopefully be in a much healthier financial postion because of the Town Hall assistance but always need funds to operate correctly and well. Our telephone has been out of order for two months and is just one of the things we have to pay to continue our work.
Payment for the membership or any donations can be sent to:

I do feel that with the finalising of this contract that the group will continue on to do a lot of good for the animals and the people of Mykonos.
Please continue to support us as you always have.
